“Be who you are, and be that well”
Caleb was always on the lookout for a sport that he could enjoy. In his younger days, he would find himself doing whatever he could get his hands on, dipping his toes into many different sports but not sticking to one. Fast forward to today, Caleb continued his pursuit and trawled the internet to find an exercise programme, only to find out that they are all backed by bro-science.
By chance, he stumbled upon CrossFit, which had just what he was looking for! An exercise regimen and methodology for general fitness that is actually backed by sound research and data… and the rest fell into (browsing) history.
Since starting CrossFit, Caleb has found that a huge draw is the community - it is a place full of diversity and inclusion, where people from all walks of life, in all shapes and forms, come to achieve a common goal together, without fear of judgment or prejudice.
To him, CrossFit is a really simple journey - a journey to just be able to do the things that he is able to do now 30, 40, or even 50 years down the winding road. It is simply about being able to move well, move fast, and move hard, together with fellow athletes on the same journey.
And like the quote he’s chosen, he believed that everyone should not be afraid to be themselves — Own all of your strengths, weakness, uniqueness, and even strange-ness!
